Did
you know that moisturizing alone is not enough to keep your hands soft and
supple? There are various ways to help you maintain the health of your hands
and make them look beautiful at all times.
Here
is a compilation of great homemade remedies to provide your hands all the
pampering they need to make them look beautiful all the time:
Apply a Good Hand Cream
If
you are using any ordinary moisturizing cream, it may not supply your hands the
required moisture they need. It is important to invest in a good hand cream
that moisturizes the skin from within and doesn’t let the skin become dry even
after washing the hands frequently.
You
should also know the right technique of messaging the cream in your hands. Also
make sure you apply the hand cream after every wash.
Proper Nail Care
It
is important that you go in for a manicure & pedicure session at least once
a month. Also make it a point to dip your nails in luke warm soapy water for a
few minutes every week. Later file your nails before applying any nail paint.
If you desire a natural look, you should opt for a clear coat of nail varnish.
Always remember, you should never scrap away your nail paint as this may weaken
the nails and dry them.
Washing your hands
Washingyour hands using the right technique is very important. Make sure the water is
neither too hot nor too cold. At best keep it luke warm. Pat your hands dry,
don’t rub them hard with a towel and finally apply a good moisturizer.
Protect our Hands
When
dealing with tasks like washing clothes and dishes, put on gloves and work so
that the hands are not left dry afterwards. Keeping hands in water may causes
the development of skin lesions that may not appear to the naked eyes, but only
felt as a disturbing tingling sensation.
Alternatively,
you can apply oil before starting with any such work. A layer of oil shields
the skin against water.
Exfoliate Your Hands
It
is very essential to keep your hands clear off dirt and dust particles.
Therefore it is recommended that you exfoliate your hands often. Exfoliating
the hands results in increased blood circulation and makes them looking younger
for longer.
